Speak with your immediate supervisor or Dean. They will receive a notice from the campus DMCA Agent as to the infringement and the appropriate steps to take.
Once the supervisor or Dean has acknowledged the notice, your Internet will be reinstated.
Contact the IT Help Desk at ext. 7487 (M-F 8 am – 5 pm) or stop by the Technology Commons with your laptop.
Monitor your Catamount email for notice to schedule a time to meet with a member of the Department of Student Community Ethics (DSCE) or designated representative.
If you have a mobile device, you may set it up to receive your Catamount email on it.
For First Time Offense:
You MUST pass the online exam for the “Responsible Computing Course” with 85% or higher in order to have your internet reinstated. Failure of the exam will require a 48 hour waiting period before another attempt can be made.
*Internet connection will be reinstated on the next business day after passing the exam.*
For Multiple Offenses:
Internet will be reinstated on the date agreed upon by the Department of Student Community
Ethics or the designated representative.
