Class Presentations
The Career Services/Cooperative Education Staff can present programs to classes, campus organizations, residence halls or other groups on a variety of job search and career topics. We encourage professors to add us to their class schedules or have us fill in when they are not able to be at a scheduled class period. We can also schedule an orientation session in our office, so students can learn about our print and online resources.
Topics that can be selected are:
- Services available through Career Services/Cooperative Education offices
- Choosing a career/major
- Writing a resume/cover letter
- Using JobCat (Online recruiting and Job Search program)
- Co-ops and Internships
- Preparing for the job search
- Interviewing
Classroom presentations can be done with a minimum of 24 hours notice. For non-classroom presentations, we prefer a 3-week notice to allow the group to adequately publicize the event.
Call Mardy Ashe at 227-3812 or Michael Despeaux at 227-3891 to schedule a class presentation.
InterviewingWe also have an online interactive practice area that allows students to use a webcam to perfect their interview at The Perfect Interview.
