Named for the former Chancellor H.F. "Cotton" Robinson, the H.F.R. Administration Building is the home of the Office of the Chancellor and the Office of the Provost.

Offices for the university’s academic affairs, business, development, alumni affairs, communications and marketing functions also are located in the building

The Mountain Heritage Center is located on the first floor. Through exhibitions, publications, educational programs, and demonstrations, the Center promotes the rich traditions of the southern Appalachian mountains.
