Athletics is an important part of life here at WCU. We're proud to be an NCAA member school and a member of the Southern Conference since 1976.

 

From its first season in 1931, WCU football has been a huge part of life in Cullowhee. Come see the Cats in action at a football game and experience Whitmire Stadium at full capacity: 12,000 screaming fans! Go Cats!

In addition to its use for intercollegiate football, Waters Field serves WCU's Pride of the Mountains Marching Band and intramural sport competitions.
