During the course of these meetings, the committee will explore the history and previous concept plans of the Millennial Initiative.  As part of that assessment, the committee understands the designation of a "Millennial Initiative/Campus" is unique in that it expressly allows that designated location of the campus to engage in public/private partnerships. This designation presents extraordinary opportunities for Western Carolina University and its faculty and students.

The committee is devoted to developing an institutional process that will allow the Millennial Campus to become a connection between the university and the broader external community with shared interests of economic development and resultant transformation of the region.
