A powerful combination of academic excellence and regional economic development, WCU’s Millennial Initiative not only provides services and job opportunities to the people of the region, but also:
- Promotes exciting new educational opportunities for students and faculty
- Expands the university’s partnership opportunities with the private sector
The cornerstone concept revolves around specialized clusters of activity across the entire campus. Research and business activities, introduced into the existing traditional campus, create integrated knowledge communities that we call “neighborhoods of interest.”
We envision the development of many multiple-use neighborhoods, anchored by core academic facilities, blended with related business and industry activities and incorporating special-interest housing.
