Absolutely yes!

What is the theme this year?
Connect the Dots!

Connect the Dots is one of your first-year goals to connect your personal interests and abilities, academics, and co-curricular activities as you make sense of the world. It is your ability to integrate information from a variety of contexts and then to communicate your new discoveries. Where have you seen this?... your FYE bookmark!

FYE Goal: Connect the Dots:
Students will make connections between personal interest and abilities, general education, programs of study, general electives, experiential learning opportunities, and other co-curricular activities; and relate the implications/value of these connections to "real world" scenarios. Students will:

  • identify connections between personal interest and closely related academic knowledge (i.e., facts, ideas, concepts, experiences).
  • articulate their own strengths and challenges as learners in dealing with a specific task, performance, event, etc.

This contest is for you to share your ideas - communicate your perspectives and express your creativity - for YOUR VOICE.

WE WANT YOU – The First-Year Student
to speak – to show – to demonstrate what the experience is!

Stay tuned for updates!
