"Service, combined with learning, adds value to each and transforms both" (Honnet & Poulsen, 1989).

Faculty and instructional staff members interested in using the service-learning pedagogy effectively are invited to submit an application and course syllabus for review. Please see the SLC designation packet for access to all the details needed to complete the application process. The SLC Review Committee will focus on the service-learning component in relation to the course (or course section) in its entirety as described in the syllabus. The review will be based on the components of the model presented above.
