| Location: | Take Hwy 107 into the town of Sylva. At the first red light turn onto Allen Street,
then make a left onto Municipal Drive. City Hall is a two-story grey building on the
corner of Allen St. and Municipal Dr. |
| Agency Description: | The Town of Sylva was established in 1889. There are a number of city service offices
that report to the City Manager's Office. Included among them are the Police Department,
Fire Department, Public Works Department, Planning and Zoning Department, and Finance/Administration
Department. |

| Volunteer Involvement: | Volunteers can expect to work with the Public Works Department, assisting with landscaping,
park maintenance, street/sidewalk repair, and cleaning. Other tasks: organizing minute
books and other records in Town Clerk's Office, assembling new employee information
packages (benefits, forms, etc.), and special administration projects depending on
amount of time student is available. |
