| Location: | Take Hwy 107 to Sylva; turn to the right by Bogart's. Take a left at the light by
McDonald's onto Skyland Drive. Continue on Skyland, passing Bellaroma, Green Brother's
Drilling and later the Budweiser plant. You will see a sign on your right pointing
to the left noting Scott's Creek School. This is Parris Branch Road. Turn left onto
Paris Branch Road, the school is about a half mile further. |
| Agency Description: | The After School Program serves grades K-6. Students engage in 30 minutes of assisted
homework time. Later they participate in special activities including games, workshops,
and art projects. Students also must participate in community service. Students also
contribute time to the Community Table, and go on afternoon field trips. |

| Time Commitment: | Volunteer time is flexible within the three and a half hour period. |
| Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements: | Volunteers must be able to assist with math, spelling, English, biology, and other
core courses. |
| Volunteer Involvement: | Volunteers may help distribute snacks, tutor a variety of elementary school level
courses, accompany students to community service projects, and chaperone students
on local educational field trips. |
