Community Early Learning Groups meet in every county for children ages conception-to-not-in-kindergarten-yet and who are not in a structured early care and education center, and their parents.  Volunteers help children with age-appropriate learning activities.  During non-group time, craft preparation takes place for students who like to support the program but who are unable to attend.

Assuring Better Child Health and Development takes place in medical offices.  All practices who see children now offer developmental screening and parent education.  Their capacity can be increased when students copy the handout materials on-site to be used during child well visits.

Family Support Network of Region A welcomes volunteers to be with children who have disabilities while their caregivers are at a support group.  Children range in age and would be at the same site as the group meeting.  Volunteers are also welcome for administrative support.

RAPC is partnership of organizations who serve children and their families in our 7 county and Qualla Boundary catchment area.  When a student wishes to support early care and education, children’s health, and families, we can possibly be a clearinghouse for opportunities.
