Agency Description: |
REACH of Jackson County is committed to promoting economic self-sufficiency and zero tolerance of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community. |
|
Training: |
Training is required to be a hotline operator. |
|
Time Commitment: |
Commitment and reliability are necessary for hotline workers. All other volunteer positions are flexible on time commitment. |
|
Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements: |
Reliability is very important when a commitment has been made to volunteer. We prefer Social Work, Child and Family Studies, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Psychology majors. |
|
Volunteer Involvement: |
Volunteers can usually work in three different areas. They can work as hotline operators, workers in the thrift store, or in an office setting. There is a list of items that volunteers can supply to help with needs of clients who use the shelter. |
