|Agency Description:||The Green Energy Park provides a space for the public to create art and build a sense
of community, using renewable energy. Our mission is to offer environmental protection,
educational opportunities, and increased economic development to the community through
the utilization of landfill gas and other clean, renewable energy resources. The
Green Energy Park currently hosts the only blacksmithing forges, metal foundry, and
flameworking torches in the world fired with landfill gas. We also have one of only
three glassblowing shops to use landfill gas. Our outdoor ceramics kiln is fired using
waste wood and waste vegetable oil as fuels. Our ongoing classes are open to the public,
and a variety of intern positions are open to qualified applicants.
