the Swain County Courthouse (Bryson City). |
| Agency Description: | A volunteer Guardian ad Litem is assigned in cases where the Department of Social
Services removes a child from the home due to allegations of abuse and/or neglect.
As a volunteer, you represent the best interest of the child in court proceedings. |
| Training: | 30 hour course including court observation. |
| Time Commitment: | 10 hours per month. |
| Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements: | Enjoy working with children. |
