| Agency Description: | We are a retail outlet. Our store receives donations of books and magazines from individuals
and organizations. After receiving a donation, we sort, clean, price, shelve and recycle
(when appropriate). We operate as any retail store would. We prepare displays, participate
in special activities, keep financial records, reorganize as needed, hold sales, and
prepare merchandising materials. |
| Training: | A volunteer working at the store will be able to train students. |
| Time Commitment: | Flexible. |
| Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements: | Most activities require movement and the ability to lift 15-20 lbs. |
| Volunteer Involvement: | Need is for 1-3 volunteers who would help with receiving and preparing donated items. Volunteers could also help with recycling, preparing displays, keeping financial records, reorganizing, holding sales, preparing merchandising materials, and special activities. |
