| Location: | From 107 South, pass Cullowhee Valley Elementary School and turn right on Speedwell
Rd. Go past the Recreation Center and student housing; when you come to a fork in
the road, go to the right on Tilley Creek Rd. Turn right onto Bo Cove Rd., just after
the Cullowhee Valley Baptist Church. Go one half mile and you will see a log cabin
and green building and a driveway; turn left into the driveway onto Tabby Rd. to the
green building. |

| Training: | Must like animals and feel comfortable with cats. |
| Time Commitment: | 9:30 to 11:00 for feedings. |
| Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements: | Must be available to help in the mornings, at least 3 sessions of 3 hours each. |
| Volunteer Involvement: | Help with treating cats for disease, trim nails, give shots, etc. Unpack and stack
cans of cat food in storeroom and in cat rooms. Help pick up supplies when orders
arrive. Work with adoption paper forms and make calendars for shots, write stories
about Catman2 for local newspapers, magazines etc. Create posters to help cats get
adopted, print same and post them around. Address envelopes to send "thank you notes",
etc. Compile weight circles to obtain cat food "point checks". Spread the word about
Catman2 by giving speeches to groups. Organize a fundraising, or food raising event.
Hold a yard sale to raise funds. Clean rooms in the shelter. Wash litter boxes, food
bowls, etc. Help with accounting, organize receipts for costs and expense. Help out
with "Open House" when there is one. Help sell raffle tickets to raise money at raffle
time. Work with shy cats to help them become social. |
