Location:  

Take Hwy 23/74 out of Sylva.  Take exit 102-A in Waynesville, and take a right on Russ Avenue (US Hwy 276). Continue to follow US 276 (Russ Avenue will merge with Walnut Street) for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on North Main Street, then take the first right on Howell Street.  Continue to the corner of Welch and Howell. The agency is located in a brown wooden one-story building on the right side, across from Brian Center.

Agency Description:  

This agency provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, including residential services.

Training:  

The agency will provide training if necessary, depending upon the involvement with Arc clients.

Time Commitment:  

Flexible hours.

Skills, Experience, and Special Requirements:  

All volunteers are required to have criminal background checks prior to acceptance. The agency covers the expense.

Volunteer Involvement:  

Volunteers will assist with the facilitation of recreational activities, e.g., singing, arts and crafts, and sports.
