Chancellor's Travel Fund
The Chancellor’s Travel Fund awards up to $1200 per academic year for some faculty
in support of travel to present their scholarship at professional meetings.
Faculty Research and Creative Activities Award
Professional Development Grants
Established in 2012, this grant program provides funds for faculty and instructional
staff to pursue professional development opportunities in areas such as teaching and
learning, scholarship, leadership, certification, accreditation, assessment, and other
related areas. This program replaces and expands upon two former grant programs: Microgrants
and Provost Instructional Improvement Grants. The maximum award is $1200.
Program of Excellence Award
The academic and support program of excellence awards are separate $10,000 awards
which are presented to an academic department and a support unit or department to
recognize established records of excellence. Units and/or departments may apply or
be nominated for these awards if sufficient merit or excellence is determined.
QEP Development Grant
The QEP Development Grant supports academic initiatives connected to the implementation
of the QEP goals (QEP.wcu.edu/). All instructional faculty, part time or full time, and staff in academic support
areas are eligible to apply. In the spirit of the QEP, interdisciplinary collaboration
is encouraged.
Scholarly Development Assignment Program
This program provides faculty members the opportunity to pursue full-time independent
study, including graduate or post graduate study, research, or creative work. Applicants
must be full-time faculty members with tenure and must have completed six years of
full-time service to the university.

Visiting Scholar Program
This program provides funding for departments to bring national/ international scholars
to campus. Proposals will be considered on a first come, first served basis, although
priority will be given to departments that did not participate last year.
