Rubae Schoen, Director Creative Services/WCU Brand Manager Born and raised in Huntington Beach CA. Landed a great job while in College and never looked back. During my 15 years employed with Rockwell/Conexant, I managed a staff of designers, writers, and a photographer responsible for design and production of print materials for customers and employees, advertising, as well as tradeshow design production and audiovisual displays. Beginning in 1989, I managed the company's corporate identities through two rebrandings, a name change and four spinoffs. In 2002, I followed my then boyfriend now husband to Waynesville, bought a 1938 farmhouse and proceeded to get 12 chicken and four goats. I have since scaled down the "farm" to two dogs and four barn cats. I spend my weekends kayaking, gardening and working around our house...maybe someday it will actually be done |

Will Huddleston, Production Designer Design and production Born in Newport News, Va., I was raised in Wilmington, N.C. After moving to the mountains and running my own successful sign business, I returned to school to earn my degree in advertising and graphic design. In the years following graduation I have been fortunate to have accumulated knowledge working with newspapers, print shops, a local magazine and running my own photography business. All of these combined experiences have made me prepared for the ever evolving job of a graphic designer here at Western Carolina. |
