• Married to Curtis L. Wellmon, 1958 alumnus.  Curtis received the “Distinguished Service Award” in year 2004.  Also, friend and benefactor; deceased.  Two children.

Brenda has many years of leadership experience across multiple disciplines including finance, human resources, sales and marketing, operations, real estate, customer service, logistics, and supply chain management.  Brenda has had the opportunity to work with outstanding firms as listed below: 

• Champion International - Canton, NC
       Executive Assistant to General Manager/Operations
            Approximately 2,500 employees total at the manufacturing plants in Canton and Waynesville, NC
• Fiber Industries - Celanese Corporation - Salisbury, NC
       Human Resources Manager
            Hired approximately 200 start-up engineers and technicians for new polyester plant which grew to 600 employees.
• Alcoa - Charlotte, NC
       Sales and Marketing Associate
            Liaison between Charlotte sales office, the Badin, NC plant and customers
