Western Carolina University is committed to a creating and maintaining culture of safety. The institution has many strategies in place to promote a safe environment and respond to emergencies, a few of the techniques we use are: CatTracker, campus siren system, electronic acess, emergency blue light phones, timely warnings and notifications, and web notification. The Office of Emergency Management also askes you to do your part in preparing for and responding to an actual incident.
The purpose of our website is not to provide emergency notification but rather an education and informaon resources area to help you understand how the university, its partners, and you can prepare for and respond to an emergency.
