We provide services in the following areas:
Sustainability and Energy Assessments – Would you like to reduce the environmental impact of your workplace? Interested in knowing how much energy you're consuming while living on campus? Our evaluations provide occupants with information and recommendations on how they can make their space more sustainable while maintaining ideal comfort levels. Our main focus is on conserving energy and resources (lighting, computers, electronic devices, water, and recycling), but any topic of interest can be evaluated. Project Management – We actively support our Planning, Design, and Construction team with assisting in the development and management of our energy related capital construction projects on campus.
Programming and Community Outreach – Successful programs are a vital component of creating a sustainable WCU. We offer a variety of special events, service learning projects, workshops, and educational opportunities on campus. Class Presentations – This service is available to faculty, staff, students, and the local community. We can present on a variety of sustainability topics ranging from technical energy management systems to more general aspects of living green on and off campus. We will tailor our presentation to meet your needs.
Research and Education – Our unique location and educational mission makes our campus a great living laboratory
for engaging our students. We are always looking for opportunities to leverage our
environment to conduct research or teach more about sustainability to the community.
We continually partner with students, faculty, and staff to help them achieve their
research and educational goals. If you have a related project or a ideas for new opportunities
we can help! We actively provide student internships and specialize in catering to
their research and special interest needs as it pertains to their degree.
