An overview of the project management framework and knowledge areas; the strategic context of projects; introduction to project management tools. PREQ: Completion of prerequisites PM 500, 505, 515 or their equivalents.

651 Research in Construction (1)

This course provides an overview of issues in research and teaching construction management in higher education as a career. PREQ: Admission to the M.C.M. program.

652 (PM 652) Project Plan Development (6)

Human resources, legal, financial, and logistical principles for project planning; preparation of initial project plan documentation. PREQ: 650.

654 (PM 654) Project Plan Analysis and Approval (6)

Integration of human resource, legal, financial, and logistical aspects of projects; preparation and presentation of final project plans. PREQ: 652.

655 Construction Informatics (6)

This course studies issues related to representation, processing, and communication of information in humans and software. PREQ: 654 and admission to the M.C.M. program.

657 Construction Marketing and Development (6)

This course will investigate the tenants of like service industries and compare those in the built environment. PREQ: 654 and admission to the M.C.M. program.

659 Advanced Topics in Construction Management (6)

This course focuses on three current topics, their reasons for development, progress, and affect on the industry. PREQ: 654 and admission to the M.C.M. program.
