To extend the resources and expertise of Western Carolina University to the "community beyond to campus." The Center for Service Learning is promoting student volunteer service opportunities in the counties surrounding the Cullowhee campus. Student volunteers in the community will continue a strong tradition of helping the people of western North Carolina overcome educational, economic, social, and environmental challenges while preserving the rich heritage and resources of the Mountains. This page is maintained by the Center for Service Learning to provide listings of volunteer opportunities. We are continually looking for opportunities to post. If you have an opportunity that you would like to post or update, please click on the "Organizations" link and fill out the form. If you are a student looking for a chance to volunteer, follow the "Students" link. Thank you. |
