Technology workshops for all

The IT Division continues to offer technology workshops to faculty, staff and students alike. This semester faculty, staff and student workshops are offered on topics ranging from Access to Windows XP to Web page design, visit http://itsworkshops.wcu.edu/.

Of particular interest is a new set of offerings regarding web tools. The Division of Information Technology and Office of Public Relations are making Web publishing programs available to faculty, staff and students. Western has recently purchased a number of licenses for Macromedia Contribute 3, a program that offers point-and-click simplicity, and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2005, the industry standard for Web publishing professionals. Please register early as we expect these workshops to fill up quickly!

Student workshops offerings can be found at http://www.wcu.edu/techassist/schedule.html . Offerings include Web page design, spreadsheet and database use and PowerPoint presentations. Faculty can also request for a workshop to be led in their own class! For further information please contact Dr. Chris Snyder at csnyder@email.wcu.edu or call 227-7067.

Registration information can be found on the Web sites above.
