What are Some Ways to Conserve Energy?

• TURN OFF EVERYTHING when leaving your room
• When possible, take the stairs instead of the elevator
• In warm weather, close blinds to reduce cooling load
• Turn off the heater/AC when not in room
• Use sunlight for illumination
• Buy ENERGY STAR labeled products
• Use compact flourescent lightbulbs
• Use task specific lighting instead of area lighting. If studying at a desk it is not necessary to light up the entire room.
