North Carolina State Teacher Salary Range
North Carolina teacher salaries are set each fiscal year with base state salaries calculated on years of experience. Local Education Agencies (LEA) can supplement these salaries with a percentage on top of the state base.
Local supplements range from 0% up to 12% throughout the state of North Carolina.Teachers will need to visit the local school system’s website to determine the percentage of the local supplement.
Teachers in schools with successful testing outcomes (ABC testing) may earn bonuses. Teachers who agree to serve as mentor teachers for beginning teachers also receive a monthly stipend.
