Service-Learning Awards
The Center for Service Learning organizes and hosts the annual Service-Learning Awards on the fourth or fifth Thursday of April. The 2010 Awards ceremony will be held on April 29. The event recognizes students, faculty and staff members, and community partners for outstanding participation and achievements. Major awards are presented in 10 categories. The School of Health Sciences received the Leading Light Award for 2009. This award symbolizes the highest achievement among Western’s academic departments in integrating service learning into the curriculum. Professor Phillip Kneller, Director of the School, accepted the award on April 23.
