Professor elected to state historical society

Elizabeth Gillespie McRae, associate professor of history and director of social sciences education, has been elected to membership in the Historical Society of North Carolina.
Elizabeth Gillespie McRae, associate professor of history and director of social sciences education, has been elected to membership in the Historical Society of North Carolina.
The society is limited to 75 members, who are elected based on publications, professional reputation and contributions to the state and the historical profession.
A resident of Cullowhee, McRae (pictured) has been a member of the WCU faculty since 2000. She holds a doctorate from the University of Georgia and master’s degree from WCU.
