Telecommunicator

Telecommunicator Buchanan is a native of Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Melvindale High School. Before joining the staff of the Western Carolina University Police Department (WCUPD), Telecommunicator Buchanan served as a team driver with her husband for an over-the-road trucking company and a cook with Aramark Services. Telecommunicator Buchanan has lived in the Cullowhee area since 1983. Telecommunicator Buchanan began working part-time as a telecommunicator with the WCUPD in 2006 and was employed full-time in 2007. In her spare time, Telecommunicator Buchanan enjoys serving her church, cooking, and spending time with her family.
