Crime Prevention Officer

Officer Barker is a native of West Monroe, Louisiana and graduated from Tuscola High School. Officer Barker also graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Officer Barker completed his Basic Law Enforcement Training at Haywood Community College in 2006 and was employed as a police officer with the WCU Police Department the same year. Officer Barker is currently assigned as the department’s crime prevention coordinator. During his leisure time, Officer Barker enjoys outdoor activities.
