Program Assistant (Parking and Transportation)

Program Assistant Jamison is a native of Jackson County, North Carolina and graduated from Sylva-Webster High School. Program Assistant Jamison has an extensive background in law enforcement and obtained her Basic Law Enforcement Training at Southwestern Community College. Program Assistant Jamison also has an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Southwestern Community College. Program Assistant Jamison began her law enforcement career with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in 1981. In 1991, Program Assistant Jamison joined the Western Carolina University (WCU) Police Department as a police officer. In 2000, Program Assistant Jamison deployed on a United Nations Police Mission to the country of Kosovo. Program Assistant Jamison remained in Kosovo for four years before rejoining the WCU Police Department. In 2007, Program Assistant Jamison transferred to her present position in the parking and transportation division. However, Program Assistant Jamison continues to serve as a part-time police officer. For fun, Program Assistant Jamison enjoys hiking, fishing, and camping.
