Lieutenant

Lieutenant Davis is a native of Jackson County, North Carolina and a graduate of Sylva-Webster High School. Lieutenant Davis has an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Southwestern Community College. Lieutenant Kent Davis has worked in law enforcement for almost 22 years with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the Western Carolina University Police Department. Lieutenant Davis holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Department of Justice - Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Lieutenant Davis is certified as a general instructor and occasionally teaches law enforcement subjects in the community college system. Lieutenant Davis is responsible for supervising the administrative functions of telecommunications, training, records, crime prevention, and investigations.

Lieutenant Davis enjoys spending time with his daughter. Lieutenant Davis also enjoys watching sports and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
