Engineering Calculus

Course Description

Limits, continuity, derivatives of algebraic and trigonometric functions with applications. Three semester hours. Prerequisite: Math 146 or placement.

Objectives

   1. To provide an introduction to functions of one variable;
   2. To provide an introduction to the differential calculus of functions of one variable;
   3. To provide students with problem solving skills using the differential calculus;
   4. To expose students to real-life applications of differential calculus from a variety of fields.
