Biography

David Claxton teaches courses in aquatics, measurement and evaluation, and physical education curriculum. Before joining the faculty at Western Carolina University, he was a faculty member at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix, AZ, and at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Claxton served as the president of the North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance in 2002 and was the founding president of the Jackson County, NC, chapter of Habitat for Humanity International.  David Claxton's personal philosphy.
