Autobiography:
 
"After spending 25 years as a university-level track and cross-country coach, (St. Olaf College, Carleton College, University of Colorado, University of Alabama, and Brevard College) and a three-year stint as the athletic director and PE teacher at Blue Ridge school in Cashiers, NC, I return to the university ranks, only this time as a teacher. I love working with college aged students and helping them grow towards their ultimate potential. Along with my wife, Dr. Maridy Troy, I enjoy spending time on our small ranch with our two horses and two Labradors. I also stay active by road biking and swimming."
