SAC: Students enrolled in a B.S.Ed. degree in Elementary Education are required to select a second academic concentration. 18 hours must be completed for each area. See the current online catalog at: Grade Requirements: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better on hours attempted at WCU to be admitted to the teacher education program in Elementary Education and must maintain at least a 2.75 to continue in the program. Elementary Education majors must earn a grade of C or better in all required courses except liberal studies and SAC courses but including ENGL 101 and ENGL 102. This C or better requirment includes MATH 321, MATH 322, PE 361, ART 363, and MUS 301. If a student fails any course in the profession education sequence twice, the student is withdrawn from teacher education. | |||||||
