We Welcome Students from All BackgroundsWe welcome students from all backgrounds who are interested in studying communication sciences and disorders. For that reason, we offer a unique admission opportunity to students outside of our field. These students, referred to as “levelers,” are admitted as graduate students and initially pursue a series of prerequisite courses preparing them for the graduate curriculum. Levelers can complete the program in two-and-a-half years.
Application Review & Admission RecommendationsApplications for our program are reviewed by a faculty admissions committee, and admission recommendations are made to the graduate dean. Our department seats approximately 25 full-time students in each admission cohort. Admission decisions are made by mid-spring and students are notified shortly thereafter.
