Biography:
Professor Cruz received her doctorate from the University of California-Berkeley and is a specialist in early modern Europe. Her major research interest is in the field of Dutch economic history.
Dr. Cruz serves as the list editor for H-LowCountries, book review editor for H-W-Civ, and President of the Society of Netherlandic History.
She has published articles in Book History, OP: Magazine of Book Culture, Academic Exchange Quarterly, the International Social Science Review, Sixteenth Century Studies, and several reference works. She is also the co-creator of the Masterstroke on-line simulation project.
A revised version of her dissertation, a study of booksellers in Leiden, is being published (any day now) by Oak Knoll Press. She also is an editor for several collected volumes on Dutch history, including Boundaries, Myth in History/History in Myth, and Early Modern Economies.
