Biography:
Dr. Lewis received his Ph.D. from Duke University. His research interests are in the fields of colonial Latin America, Caribbean history, and United States history. In addition to numerous articles and reviews, he is the author of The Final Campaign of the American Revolution: The Rise and Fall of the Spanish Bahamas (1991) and Neptune's Militia: The Frigate South Carolina During the American Revolution (1999).
