Biography:
Dr. Macaulay received his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. His research interests include the modern South, modern American history, and concepts of masculinity. His publications include Marching in Step: The Citadel and Post-World War II America under contract with the University of Georgia Press, and articles in the South Carolina Historical Magazine, Southern Cultures, and the Journal of East Tennessee History. He is the author of Marching in Step: Masculinity, Citizenship, and The Citadel in Post World War II America (2009).
