Children's quilting program to be held May 4 at Mountain Heritage Center
4/28/2008 - Children will be introduced to the art of quilting during an Arti-Facts! program from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Western Carolina University’s Mountain Heritage Center.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn about patchwork and colors, explore the museum exhibit “A Quilter’s Garden,” and start work on a patchwork pillow that they will get to take home.
Designed for children ages 6 through 12, Arti-Facts! programs explore the region’s natural and cultural heritage. Attendance is free, but reservations are required. Parents are invited to attend with their children.
For reservations or more information, call the museum at (828) 227-7129.
