About George Ford:
Dr. Fords professional interests include facilities management, hazardous waste management, air pollution control technologies, energy management and conservation methods, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and engineering materials. He is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional. Dr. Ford enjoys fishing, gardening, reading civil war history, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Ford worked for over fifteen years in the corporate world in plant engineering and environmental engineering positions and managed numerous construction projects as a plant engineer in the paper, plastics and rubber industries including warehouses, manufacturing buildings and utilities infrastructures. He also managed utilities budgets exceeding $8 million per year. As an environmental manager, Dr. Ford worked on several energy conservation and sustainable manufacturing projects in addition to managing hazardous waste and pollution prevention programs.
