WCU Brass Quintet to perform April 29

Western Carolina University’s Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet will give its final performance of the academic year in the recital hall of the Coulter Building at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29.
The concert is free and will feature Kerry Turner’s “The Casbah of Tetouan,” Ingolf Dahl’s “Music for Brass Instruments,” John Steven’s “Autumn” from “Seasons,” Morley Calvert’s “Suite from the Monteregian Hills” and an arrangement of “When the Saints Go Marching In” by Jack Gale.
Quintet members are (left to right) Michael Schallock on tuba, Dan Cherry on trombone, David Ginn on trumpet, Travis Bennett on horn and P. Bradley Ulrich on trumpet.
