GTAs have full access to the resources and programs of the CFC in helping them all become good teachers now and to support the development of those GTAs who will become professors themselves in the future. In addition, the Center offers a special program for GTA’s called GATE- the Graduate Assistant Teaching Experience.

The Coulter Faculty Center initiated GATE (Graduate Assistant Teaching Experience) in 2005 in response to requests from graduate students for more opportunities to develop their teaching. Each year, in cooperation with the Graduate School, the faculty center sponsors events and workshops designed to enhance the graduate experience by providing a thoughtful and thorough preparation in the art of teaching.
