Graduate Students
The birth-kindergarten master's program began in the 2005 fall semester. The birth-kindergarten council established program-specific requirements for admission, which are as follows:
- GRE Score: 900 total for verbal and quantitative - neither score may be less than 400, 4.5 for analytic (scale = 1 to 6)
- Undergraduate GPA: 3.0 minimum
- Your resume: E-mail to edean@email.wcu.edu
Application Process
Visit the Graduate Admissions website and follow their instructions for the graduate school application. On the application, enter "Birth-Kindergarten" when it asks you to declare your field. Then, you should check M.A.T. or M.A.Ed.*
*You should check the M.A.Ed option if you already have an undergraduate degree in Birth-Kindergarten with a BK teaching license. If you have anything else (for example, an undergraduate degree in birth-kindergarten but no BK license or an undergraduate degree in another field) you should check M.A.T..
