Ramsey Family Scholarship (one year in-state tuition)
A scholarship will be awarded from the Ramsey Family Scholarship Fund to a pre-health professional student at Western Carolina University. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to Western Carolina University students who are residents of North Carolina and have declared a major in a pre-professional program of study related to the field of health care.
The scholarship will pay in-state tuition at Western Carolina University for the 2008-2009 academic year. A recipient who continues as a student at Western Carolina University is eligible to apply for renewal of the scholarship for a second year.
Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on academic achievement, participation in various school activities, and overall social and civic contributions. The recipient must be a junior or senior during the 2008-2009 academic year.
Application deadline is the first Monday after Thanksgiving.
