Interested in K-12 reading education? You can earn an initial add-on reading license through undergraduate coursework and advanced studies and licensure through the graduate M.A.Ed. program with a reading concentration.

Individual Services
Students who experience difficulties with reading or who wish to enhance/extend their existing reading strategies may receive evaluation of their reading skills along with recommendations for becoming more proficient and efficient readers.

Assessment of needs and of reading strengths and concerns are a part of the evaluation process. Individual assistance is provided by Reading Center staff under the supervision of the director. Services are free of charge.

Reading Courses
EDRD 250: "College Reading and Vocabulary"
This course will assist students in extending skills for college and recreational reading with emphasis on reading versatility, increasing reading comprehension, and developing college level vocabulary. Students receive three semester hours of elective credit for the course.
