Reading Center Hours & Charges
Regular Hours
The center welcomes students, faculty and staff members, local school teachers and administrators, and other visitors, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Lunch hour is generally taken from noon until 1:00 p.m.; however, any variations from this schedule will be posted on the entry door. The center is closed on weekends.
Summer Hours
Hours during the summer will not be extended beyond 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vacation days and lunch hours will be posted on the entry door.

Charges
Reading program services in the Reading Center are free to Western students. Charges for services for school-age children vary. Information may be obtained by calling or stopping by the Reading Center office at 828-227-7295.
Ellison Die Cutters
While there is no charge for the use of the Ellison Die Cutters to any visitor, those wishing to make use of this equipment MUST bring their own paper. We do have scissors and a paper cutter available (which may not be removed from the center). Those using the die cutters are asked to clean up after themselves and to learn to use the equipment properly.
