The choir, under the direction of Robert Holquist of the WCU music faculty, will perform as part of the 11 a.m. worship service at Sylva First Baptist Church and during the 6:30 p.m. worship service at Scott’s Creek Baptist Church. WCU senior Patrick Thomas will be musical accompanist.
“A love offering will be received following each presentation,” said Holquist, director of choral activities at WCU. “Other fund-raising activities have included sales of cheesecake, cookie dough and coffee, a raffle, a variety show, and several performances by the Concert Choir, Early Music Ensemble and Catamount Chamber Singers during the year.”
The WCU student vocalists will travel to Germany, Switzerland and Austria while performing four concerts and sightseeing on the European concert tour from May 15-24.
